Autumn Term (1)
Well Done Puffins!
What a great start to Year Two, this week we have been getting used to the rules and routines of our new classroom and year group. We have settled in well and have dealt well with the new changes in Year Two.
In Maths we had a week of Inspirational Maths, we completed lots of different challenges where we had to think independently and sometimes in a team, we practised finding things tricky and using resilience to keep on trying and we learnt it is ok to make mistakes!
In English we learnt the story ‘Grandad’s Island’ Mrs Parsons helped us to draw a story map and we added actions to help us remember, we read sentences from the story and found the mistakes and learnt about types of words – adjectives, nouns and verbs.
On Wednesday’s we have Science with Mrs Creasey, on Thursday we have Games with Mr Maxwell and on Friday we have Music with Mr Mogridge.
As ever if you have any questions then feel free to ask Miss Clements at the end of the school day and she will do her best to help.

We had items like a bucket and spade, pineapples, passport covers and a brightly patterned shirt! After lunch we came in to see that Year Two had changed! We spent the afternoon travelling to Hawaii, we got to make different fruit juices and try different exotic fruit, we made our own lei’s, did some Hawaiian dancing and played some fun beach games.
