British Values

As outlined by the DFE guidelines published in 2014, Northern Parade Schools work hard to promote

  • an understanding of how citizens can influence decision-making through the democratic process
  • an understanding that the freedom to hold other faiths and beliefs is protected in law
  • an acceptance that people having different faiths or beliefs to oneself (or having none) should be accepted and tolerated, and should not be the cause of prejudicial or discriminatory behaviour
  • an understanding of the importance of identifying and combatting discrimination.

Junior School Prefects
When the children reach Year 6 there is an opportunity for them to apply for the position of School Prefect.

The children have to submit a letter of application in order to be considered for the post.

To be considered for a top prefect position, each child would have to prepare a presentation to submit to our prefect panel.

This year there were 8 applications in total and the standard was so high that all 8 candidates were awarded a Top Prefect Position.

We now have 2 Head Prefects, 2 Deputy Head Prefects and 4 Senior Prefects.

Meet our Team of Prefects…
