Another busy week in Year Two this week. We continue to rise to the Challenge Charlie of getting into the routine of our new school life and we are rising to that challenge well.
In English this week, we have been continuing with our non-fiction texts this week. We started planning our own non-fiction piece of writing. We had to find information using the iPads, as well as using some information we were given. We then had to turn our bullet points into sentences for our non-fiction piece of writing.
In maths this week, we have been looking at addition and thinking about our part-whole model. We have been looking at different addition problems and thinking about how we can solve these problems using different resources. We have also been thinking about how we can write our equations in different ways.
In shared reading this week, we have been reading information and thinking about what this might look like. We have been reading some text about the different seasons and also answering questions on it.
In topic, we have been looking and exploring an atlas and how we can use the index to help us find different places and features. We have also been looking at Andy Warhol and how we can adapt some portraits in his style.
