Here we are again, Friday. Another fantastic week completed, time certainly flies when you’re having fun!
In Maths this week we have been ordering 3 digit numbers and learning about number ranges! The children have been working so hard and even managing to get onto the extra challenges. Alongside all this maths work we have also been sneaking in a couple of maths games, to keep their brains active and engaged!
English this week had the children up and out of their seats, learning the actions for our class text, Mr Benns’ diary and as the week went on we started to make changes ready for our class write, the children are all very excited.
In shared reading we are learning how to infer. We are looking at a variety of Mr Benn stories and reading between the lines to find answers (we are basically word detectives).
Topic this week has brought out the artists in all of the children! They created beautiful paintings, using water colours to show the colours of the nights sky with a silhouette of
Stonehenge as the main feature, I’m pretty sure Van Gough himself would have been jealous.
That’s all this week from year 3. Take care!
