The children in Year 3 have yet again had a very busy week, but have showed so much resilience and have really challenged themselves - well done!
In Shared Reading and English, they have been doing lots of mini quizzes on their reading skills, comprehension, spelling and much more. These have been really useful for the teachers to see where any gaps may be. They have done really well, you should be proud of them.
In Maths we have continued with number fact families (tris), addition and subtraction. The week has mainly consisted of learning new methods (partitioning and number lines) to help us to subtract a single digit from a 2 digit number.
In our Stone Age topic the children have been making 'yummy' stone age 3 course menus for the "Rolling Stones Cafe" - ask them the kind of things that were on their menu!! The children have also been comparing how houses have changed through the 3 Stone Age periods.
