This week in our English and Shared Reading lessons, we have been trying to identify the key areas we want to focus on in the future. In Maths, we have had a mixed focus on addition and subtraction using the column method. We looked at how to add 2digit and 2digit numbers together and then progressed on to 3digit and 2digit and 3digit and 3digit. This included when we had to exchange when our totals were more than 9. After this, we looked at how to subtract 2digit numbers from 2digit numbers and progressed on to 3digit and 2digit and 3digit and 3digit. This included when we had to exchange. The week ended with a focus on multiplication and division and how we can use arrays to help us solve these questions.
In the afternoons, we have still been focusing on our mental health and well-being. This included talking about our support networks and who we can rely on when we find things tough either at home or school. We spoke about if our support networks changed during lockdown and some of us decided that even though we can’t see our support network, we can ring them to talk to them. We said it may be a good idea for us to phone people, who consider us their support network too. Especially, if we haven’t seen them in a while.
