We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring person to join our friendly team of staff. The vacancy is for a motivated, experienced teaching assistant to support children with a range pastoral and safe guarding intervention programmes working 25 hours per week.

You must be flexible, adaptable and willing to work in partnership with the Dragon’s Den team, class teachers and senior leaders in order to provide a safe and secure learning environment for all pupils.

  Ideal candidates will:

  • Have previous experience of working within the primary agerange in a supporting role for children who will benefit from pastoral care and safe guarding programmes.
  • Be a team player who is also able to work individually.
  • Have a firm commitment to providing the very best outcomes for our pupils, through our school values of creativity, teamwork and resilience.

You will be required to work Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 3.10pm

We are seeking to employ an Administrative Assistant to support the Office
Manager.


The successful candidate will:

  • Be cheerful, flexible and approachable;
  • Have energy and enthusiasm, and be able to show initiative within the role;
  • Be a team player;
  • Be patient and have good communication skills;
  • Be confident in the use of ICT systems such as Microsoft Office.
  • Have experience working in a busy office environment.

You will be required to work Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 4pm.

As part of our COVID catch up plan we are seeking to appoint a confident, enthusiastic and well-organised Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in a temporary role to join our friendly team at King’s Academy Northern Parade. The successful HLTA will cover teachers for planned development release time, absence and PPA sessions from Early Years to Year 6

We are looking for a person who has:

  • Recent experience of teaching across KS2 and (KS1 is desirable)
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) grade C or above
  • Minimum level 3 qualification  
  • Experience of working with teachers to deliver learning activities to whole classes
  • Confidence to cover absence when necessary
  • The ability to plan, evaluate pupils' progress and adapt lesson plans when necessary
  • Experience of communicating pupil outcomes to class teachers
  • An interest in working with the pastoral team to carry out individual assessments
  • Skills to work with pupils to accelerate specific learning and emotional needs
  • A good sense of humour and be a good team player
  • An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding

The role will require you to work with teachers and senior leaders to organise, support & deliver teaching and learning activities for classes.

The role is essentially to deliver lessons set by teachers (short-term cover & PPA provision). In addition there will small group interventions linked to our COVID recovery curriculum and subject leader release time.

The successful candidate will have excellent behaviour management skills, a positive and caring manner and excellent communication skills. You will need to be flexible and committed to providing the children in your care with the best learning experience possible as well as having and demonstrating high expectations.

Learning Support Assistant

Job type – Learning Support Assistant with lunchtime duty

Required from: September 2022

We are seeking to recruit 6 Learning Support Assistants to join our committed team. We are looking for enthusiastic and caring people to join our friendly team of staff as soon as possible. Candidates will need to have a good understanding how children learn. Experience of delivering learning intervention programs for SEN children would also be desirable. The vacancy is to support children with a range of intervention programmes and also with class based activities working 30 hours per week. The successful candidate will also have a daily lunchtime duty where they will be required to supervise children on the playground or in the dining hall.

The successful candidate will:
